The 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

The 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe is an incredibly well-styled mid-size crossover SUV. Having been in production since 2001, the Santa Fe has made exceptional headway with SUV drivers looking for more manageable dimensions, better fuel economy, and easier handling. From its first release, the Santa Fe has performed very well on the U.S. market. Its well rounded offering of solid performance, driving ease, and interior ride quality makes it an ideal vehicle for families and independent adventurers alike.

Powering the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe is either a 185 horsepower, 2.7 liter V-6 engine or a 242-horsepower, 3.3 liter V-6 engine. Both offer solid acceleration, and the larger 3.3 liter V-6 gets especially good reviews for drive train quality and performance. And when properly equipped, the ’09 Santa Fe can tow up to 3,500 pounds of weight, making it not only confident, but practical as well.

Transmission options are plentiful, and include four different offerings: 4-speed automatic with overdrive (with or without auto-manual), 5 speed automatic with both overdrive and auto-manual, and 5-speed manual. The 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe also comes in both front wheel drive and all wheel drive configuration, so you can equip your Santa Fe with the level of adventurousness and control that meets your driving needs.

Inside, the 2009 Santa Fe holds five or seven passengers, depending on the size you prefer (the seven seat option isn’t limited to just one trim level: it’s available in several). In addition to comfortable space and a clean, enjoyable layout, the Santa Fe’s interior has a lot of features that make it even more of a pleasure to both ride in and drive. The ’09 Santa Fe offers a digital touch screen navigation system that incorporates with one of two impressive audio systems. The base audio boasts 120-watt speaker power with not only AM/FM and CD, but also MP3 and XM Satellite Radio, plus 6 speakers throughout.

An upgrade to the Limited model boosts that sound system to a 7-CD, 10 speaker Infinity Logic package that puts out 605 watts of high quality sound. The Limited also offers a rear DVD player, and it comes standard with leather seats throughout (heated in front) as well as a moon roof.

Then there are the practical aspects. Maximum cargo volume in the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe is 78.2 cubic feet of space. The third row seat is a 50/50 split fold bench, for optimum versatility. This is in addition to the 3,500 towing capacity and roof rack (crossbars standard on both SE and Limited editions).

Upgraded trims also add style details to the exterior, such as chrome accents and 18-inch wheels, but even in its base form, the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe boasts impressive style and fine details. Attractive both inside and out, the Santa Fe is designed to appeal to multiple segments of the modern driving market.

And finally there is the Hyundai factory warranty, which sets the high bar for the industry with its impressive 10 year, 100,000 mile powertrain coverage. If the design, comfort, style, space, versatility, power, and safety aren’t impressive enough, add in the Hyundai warranty and the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe is a crossover SUV that is hard to compete with.
